"Howdy! π My name is Donalyn. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas. I’m currently working in the schools, and skilled nursing facilities. I enjoy serving both children and adults! πΆπ¦π§π¨π©π΄π΅
I wanted to learn more signs that would help me serve my students/clients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
I was hesitant about purchasing the course because I wasn’t sure what to expect at first. Let’s just say, I’ve learned more than what I had anticipated. I’m so pleased with the outcome of this course!
I was able to complete the course while earning CEUs. As a result of completing the course, I’ve continued to strengthen my muscle memory through everyday practice. I plan to use the knowledge from this course to help my students/clients improve their communication skills, and to facilitate multi-sensory learning. ππ πππ
The course was very well organized and easy to follow. My favorite feature was the checklist because it kept me on track. Also, I’ve enjoyed using the checklist to quiz myself without visual cues!
Adrienne is really good about providing tips via video to help her students remember each sign; the videos are short and easy to follow; and you can always go back and review past videos as needed.
I would recommend this class to other SLPs, professionals, parents, teachers, etc. This class can be beneficial to professionals wanting to help those who are deaf/HOH, as well as parents who are teaching their babies how to communicate, request, comment, etc. This class is truly helpful for everyone! I would highly encourage anyone who is interested to take the class. I would say, “Just go for it! It’s perfect for beginners!” π
I have shared many of the signs from this class with my family, friends, and colleagues. Some of my ASL friends will randomly sign to me in public – I love it.
